- Adventurer, pioneer, record holder - in the 1930ies Walter Mittelholzer was the first one to fly across the African continent in a waterplane, he was the first one to fly over the Kilimandjaro. He lived what his contemporaries only dreamt of and was one of the first ones to bring back photos and films of his adventures abroad. He wasn't only famous for his aerial photography but as well for being one of the founders of the later worldwide known airline "Swissair".
