Germany's wild wolves
Some might call them wild and bloodlusty beasts, others see them as mystical creatures: Wolves. Many people are fascinated by the apparent strict hierarchy of wolf packs, often observed by scientists on wolves in compounds. It seems to reflect the similar hierarchies we have at work and in other parts of our society. But is there a fight to become the alpha wolf in a pack in the wild? How do wolves really live? For more than 150 years, it was impossible to solve this question in Germany. But for a decade, wild wolves roam the forests here again. By now, there are about 14 packs living in Germany, and counting.
