Fleeing from civilisation, the young Tom meets the girl Lizzi, a strange, infantile being. Lizzi lives with her parents, neighbours and other friendly people in the last remnants of the retreat colony "Im Sonnengrund", an allot settlement with adjacent campsite. It is a place to rejuvenate, to relish the calm, the air, the nature, a place to recover from the "life outside" - a place where everyone fled from civilization. But this paradise is about to experience its very own apocalypse when civilization finally catches up to it. A mountain is casting its shadow on the idyll, swallowing house after house, garden after garden - a gigantic pile of trash. But the residents ignore the disaster rolling their way, carrying on playing their empty rituals as if nothing has happened. Under the suppressed but unstoppable threat, the friendly people break and their aggression run free, and with them conflicts and fights, blood and thunder.
