Nastya
Nastya is a provincial female cop who wears awkward uniform. Her face is wrinkled prematurely and has an expression of total exhaustion. Nastya does her boring job and spends her free time settling disputes with her teenage daughter. But everything changes when Nastya accidentally catches another Nastya, a young seductive robber. Are these women’s lives far from each other? This impelled acquaintance of a police officer and a robber could grow into friendship which is incompatible with duty. While famous American westerns revel in robberies, Russian Bonnie and Clyde from “Nastya” run rampant off-screen. The movie is based on a real story of Nizhniy Novgorod’s post office worker Nastya Cherepanova who back in 2011 stole retirement benefits from the savings bank. Her story served as a plot for a powerful drama. Outstanding advantages of the film are officially supported by the Main Prize of “Kinotavr” film festival. Special mention should be made of Inga Oboldina and Mariya Shulga (both Nastyas) as well as Anna Ukolova, who played the main character’s best friend. Russian drama has a very strong female nature.
