In 1970, just when Black Sabbath are recording their first album, little Hera (Thorbjörg Helga Thorgilsdóttir) is born in a drab village in the middle of nowhere in Iceland. As a twelve-year-old, she has to witness her big brother being snatched from this life in a tragic accident. Shocked by the traumatic experience, she adopts his persona along with a leather jacket, a Motörhead T-shirt and an electric guitar. During her entire youth, she will only wear his clothes, listening to and playing his music. Her sadness and anger are expressed with songs by well-known metal bands and unique heavy metal riffs. Even after leaving school she feels misunderstood by all - even by her parents. They attempt to participate in life again by singing in the church choir. Just when Hera’s rebellion takes on even more destructive proportions, a young priest moves to the village. There seems to be a twist of fate and Hera realizes that she cannot run away all her life …
